Figure Works 

First inspired by figure classes with the acclaimed Andy Braitman;  An artist/teacher who ignites the passion to see .

 

The fundamentals of figure work study is seeing  : shape, contour shadows, weight ,form, & the beauty the figure in space .

Contours, subtle light & shading define the figure .

 

 

My figure works journey is in exploring the gestural study ; quick blurts on paper help define my style & capture the mood 

It's about that fleeting moment when hand, eye , paper & instrument  come together and grasp the moment of the figure in space 

 

I embrace the simplistic tools of charcoal , graphite & paper embrace the form and create a beautiful simplicity
